Ubud, located in the heart of Bali, is a haven for nature lovers, fitness gurus and foodies alike. In this guide, I'll take you on a journey through some of the must-visit spots in Ubud.

Tegallalang Rice Terraces

One of the most iconic sights in Ubud, the Tegallalang Rice Terraces offer a breathtaking glimpse into Bali's lush landscapes. Take a leisurely stroll through the terraces, marveling at the intricate irrigation system that has been in place for centuries. Don't forget your camera, the views are beatuiful. We arrived for the sunrise and missed the crowd, I'd suggest you do the same! The price varies depending on where you start your journey. You shouldn't pay any more than 50k IRD.

Monkey Forest

A visit to Ubud wouldn't be complete without a trip to the Monkey Forest. Home to hundreds of playful macaques, this sacred sanctuary allows you to observe these mischievous creatures up close in their natural habitat. Remember to keep a close eye on your belongings – these monkeys are known for their thieving antics. To visit the forest you are required to pay 100k IRD per person!

From cozy cafes serving up fresh smoothie bowls to upscale eateries with gourmet vegan fare, you'll be spoiled for choice when it comes to veg-friendly dining options in Ubud. This is a Pink Pitaya Bowl was 55k IRD from Pumpkin & Beetroot, it was definitely my favourite dish!

Yoga Retreats

Ubud is renowned for its thriving wellness scene, with an abundance of yoga studios scattered throughout the town. Whether you're a seasoned yogi or a beginner looking to deepen your practice, you'll find a variety of classes and workshops to nourish your body, mind, and soul during your stay in Ubud. We did a free community class at the Alchemy Yoga and Meditation Center and put in 50k IRD, it was such a lovely session!

Chasing Waterfalls

Leke Leke Waterfall is north of Ubud, near the village of Munduk in the Tabanan regency. Access to the waterfall involves a 15 minute scenic trek through lush tropical rainforest, across small streams, and over rocky terrain.

The waterfall is surrounded by vegetation and moss covered rocks, adding to its beauty. Don't forget to pack your swimsuit and a sense of adventure for an unforgettable experience. To visit the waterfall you are required to pay 50k IRD per person!
